In 2002, the Virginia Economid Development Partnership asked China Channel to join its then-fledgling VALET Program (Virginia Leaders in Export Trade) as a Program Partner.  This program, now a nationally-recognized Export Promotion program for the Commonwealth of Virginia, takes Virginia companies which meet strict guidelines through a two-year process that is designed to result in increased exports to international markets across the globe.

Program Partners such as China Channel provide their services to these chosen companies on a reduced-fee basis to support the overall goal of increasing the profits and exports of Virginia and its enterprises.

China Channel is proud to have been a Program Partner in this highly-acclaimed program from 2002-2015, having been readmitted every two years during that tenure.  At the end of 2015, we decided to leave the space open for a new company to fill.  We remain a strong supporter of the Program and its objectives.

Bonnie Girard, President of China Channel Ltd., was proud to serve as Executive Vice-President of the Washington-China Chamber of Commerce from 2014-2017.  The Chamber has since amalgamated into the Jiangsu International Chamber of Commerce.  Both Chambers were and are non-political, non-religious, non-partisan and non-profit organizations aimed at promoting US-China trade and cultural exchanges.
